Programs

Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in California are being kept from valuable and key services by factors such as language barriers, scattered resources, and insufficient outreach programs.

Our Programs

To help reduce these barriers to these services, APIDC serves as a clearinghouse for the API community through its community resource network, technical assistance, training, research, and conferences.

APIDC's programs currently fall into two main categories: Capacity Building and Coalition Building. Through these categories, APIDC works to build the capacity of API communities to seek services locally, understand their rights under the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA), and encourage community-based and culturally and linguistically appropriate programs that effectively allow API's to bridge language barriers to reach needed services.
